"A man finds joy in giving an apt reply--and how good is a timely word."  Prov. 15:23

Have you ever declared to a friend, "I wouldn't take anything for having heeded your advice."

There's something very special about a friend who sticks through "thick and thin"; the good days and the not so good.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of experiencing one's love and kindness no matter the situation you face.

One of the dearest friends of my life, now a "citizen of heaven", was a pastor brother reared just five miles from my birthplace.  In our childhood I doubt that we ever met, but God brought us together when He called each of us into the ministry, and then bonded us tightly as brothers and counselors each for the other.

Often when I read Solomon's words, above, my friend come straight to mind.

I thank God for the joy of having known and served with him as we pastored different churches but often came together and celebrated baptism and revival services.

Truly I hope you have a friend this dea,   But if not, turn to Jesus.

He sticks closer than a brother, and His hand right now is extended toward you.
