"I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh." Ezekel 11:19
An "undivided" heart.
Dwell on that for a moment.
Who would not be grateful for a friend whose allegiance is so steadfast to be described as undivided?
This is a description of Jesus Christ who came to this earth with His mind set like a flint to die on the cross, because He knew this was the plan and purpose of His Father for the redemption of sinful man.
Nothing ever changed the course toward the cross for Jesus; even when His heart was wrenched to the point of blood as He cried out to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane the night of His betrayal by Judas Iscariot.
His destiny with the cross was just hours away as He said through His tears, "Not my will, but Your's be done". No other one who but He could purchase man's salvation, because God's required "perfect sacrifice" was His only Son.
If you ever doubted that you could entrust your eternal life to Jesus, the cross answers clearly.
He suffered, bled, and died for you, because there was no other way to purchase your redemption.
What more proof of His love for you is needed?
