"Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means son of encouragement), sold a field he owned and brought the money to the apostles' feet." Acts 4:36
I have the privilege of having had friends whom I could have called sons of encouragement. I won't ever forget them.
Most likely you, too could say the same thing.
We are both much richer because of that great favor of the Lord.
Since such a thing is such a blessing and comfort, it brings up the question; "Am I an encourager?
Give some thought to this, and ponder those among your friends who right now may be experiencing a time in their lives when nothing would help them more than to be encouraged than a timely word from you.
It doesn't cost a dime to make a call, or write an e-mail, but the worth of your contact could be beyond your imagination to the person receiving it.
It's the Christ-like thing to do.
Jesus said so. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
