"But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then will I uproot Israel from My land which I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for My name." 2 Chr. 7:19-20
Obviously God was speaking to Israel.
The passage clearly identifies them.
But...through faith in Christ as personal Savior and Lord all men have received the privilege of being Children of God.
That includes us, and so do the warnings of God about forsaking Him as the custom of many has become in America in this twenty-first Century.
Faithfulness to the church has dropped enormously, and continues to do so.
We are in rebellion against God.
We have rejected the church.
But there is hope. God said so.
"If my people who are called my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chr. 7:14
