"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."  Heb. 13:5,c

It's a promise from God, therefore you can "take it to the bank".

More so than in our history, America is walking away from God.  Less than 5% of established churches are numerically prospering.

Why are we deserting Him?

It is not a rhetorical question, but one that needs to reach way down deep into our heart and reverberate loudly.

Leaving God out is the most serious mistake America will have ever made, and history proves this unequivocally.

Many nations that "were" are "no more".

We are on our way to being there.

Need proof?

Between 9 and 12 most Sunday mornings count the cars around the restaurants and those around the churches.

  1. Hi, Clark. I want to respectfully post this comment. I'm fairly certain you have always presented the Word without compromise from your pulpit, so my comments are not about your ministry.

The fact that many are not in church is a reflection of the sad state of the pulpit and the leadership. After nearly fifteen years without a church home, I've finally found a church where the word is being taught with a powerful anointing on the pastor. It shouldn't have taken that long, but I was determined to not attend a social club.

People are too busy trying to make a living all week to spend precious spare time going to church just for show...and "show" is what too many churches specialize in. The leadership in these churches make a business out of "growing attendance"--one in which entertainment is a requirement. I've been to a few churches where breakfast is served in the lobby and then eaten in the sanctuary. The people who regularly attend these faux churches are there for social reasons and not for meeting with God. Members may hone their social graces, but they don't grow "in wisdom and stature." So...when a visitor who is truly searching for God arrives, they don't find Him.

The body of Christ is not always found in a building. But it does exist--alive, well, and thriving--in many homes throughout the U.S.
